A Melange Et Moi: 55 For the homeless, cold nights in the run up to Christmas are made a little more bearable by the work of the Salvation Army. Mary Randall is a member of Winton Salvation Army in Bournemouth and she has her own unique way of showing that she cares. Not only does Mary provide the homeless with hot meals, but she also washes and treats their dirty tired feet. Every Monday evening Mary and her team take the very noisy canteen bus into Bournemouth's town centre for the meal run where they provide food, hot drinks, blankets – and foot treatments. Ruth Oliver joined her recently in freezing temperatures.
